For the people who want to see the world, but do not necessarily want to talk to everybody in it.
Welcome to Quietly Roaming Solo, where we wander off alone, on purpose.
This isn’t about collecting passport stamps or racing through a 37-stop itinerary before breakfast. Around here, we travel with a little more intention, a little more breathing room, and plenty of personality.
We talk about the beautiful parts of going somewhere new, and the parts that rarely make the highlight reel: anxiety, confidence, grief, rest, accessibility, sensory overload, wrong turns, unexpected joy, and figuring yourself out somewhere along the way.
And yes, Atlas is coming too!
THE PERSON BEHIND THE PASSPORT
I love travel. I love a good story. I love wandering around somewhere new and figuring things out as I go.
What I do not love is the idea that seeing the world requires me to become the loudest person in the room, make friends with everyone at the gate, or turn every trip into a competitive sport. No ma’am.
I’m an introvert with opinions, personality, curiosity, and occasionally a very loud laugh. I like adventure, but I also like breathing room. I like meeting people, but I also enjoy minding my business.
I can spend the day exploring a city and be perfectly happy going back to my room, ordering food, and not speaking to another soul until morning.
│ I don’t travel to become someone else.
│ I travel to come back to myself.
That balance is part of why I created Quietly Roaming Solo.
Travel has helped me rebuild confidence, work through grief, navigate anxiety, get comfortable with uncertainty, and learn that being alone does not automatically mean being lonely.
And if you’ve ever wanted to see more of the world without performing your way through it, you are very much in the right place.
When I’m not plotting my next trip, I’m based in Metro Atlanta with my two dogs, Beignet and Jambalaya, who have absolutely no interest in helping me pack but plenty of opinions about me leaving.
Outside of QRS, my background spans marketing, customer experience, community-building, storytelling, and partnerships. I’m also a psychology graduate student at Pepperdine University, which probably explains why I’m always thinking about the story, the experience, and what travel reveals about us.
So if you like your adventures with personality, intention, good food, breathing room, the occasional plot twist, and a side quest that absolutely was not on the itinerary, welcome.
You’re among your people here!
MEET ATLAS
Every Good Side Quest Needs a Copilot.
Atlas Lagniappe is QRS’s resident penguin, professional tagalong, and unofficial Director of Wandering Off.
You’ll spot him throughout Quietly Roaming Solo tagging along with Mia Treana, carrying entirely too much travel gear, and showing up wherever the story gets interesting.
He’s here for window seats, unexpected detours, good people, great stories, and room for one more side quest.
